A unique treasure

Cantina Dazio

Abruzzo, jealous guardian of its art, its folklore, its craftsmanship and its food and wine, preserves a unique treasure represented by uncontaminated nature.
Defined as the Green Region of Europe, its landscape unfolds between two "monumental basilicas" - as the writer Ennio Flaiano called the Gran Sasso and the Maiella mountains - and the Adriatic sea, facing its coastline for over one hundred kilometers.
Among its mountains there are three National Parks: that of Abruzzo Lazio and Molise, the Gran Sasso Park and the Maiella Park, each with its villages, its traditions, its uncontaminated territory with the flora and fauna typical of this region.
Its coastline, studded with "moon shaped gulfs" as Gabriele D'Annunzio used to define them, is part of another Park, known as the Teatine Coast or also as the Trabocchi Coast, from the name of ancient and strange fishing equipment still in use, accessible by horse and bicycle lovers.
The small village of San Vito Chietino, headquarters of Marchese Lucà Dazio winery, stands on a hill from which you can enjoy a fantastic view, ranging from the Maiella and the Gran Sasso mountains, to the port of Ortona, to the lighthouse of Vasto, up to the Tremiti islands.
